Welcome to the home of the Big Red Sentinel Marching Band.
Fort Hill High School is located in Cumberland Maryland, in the heart of Western Maryland. Fort Hill first opened its doors in the fall of 1936. The school name "Fort Hill"comes from the days of the Civil War, when in 1864, the local militia, along with Union troops, defended Cumberland against the Confederacy.
The Fort Hill High School Band has been entertaining audiences for over 70 years. The band travels extensively visiting all home and away football games. The band also competes in parades and both Tournament Of Bands Competitions and USSBA competitions . The Band currently consists of 70 playing members, 15 Sentinelettes, 15 Color Guard and 6 Honor Guard members.
