The Fort Hill High School Band takes the Top Honors at the Autumn Glory Festival
The Fort Hill High School Band took the top honor at the
Autumn Glory Festival. The band, under the direction of Joe Thompson, took
First place in the Autumn Glory Parade. Following the parade, they competed in the Western Maryland Tournament
of Bands competition. The band had the
highest score in Group II. The band also
received several specialty awards including Best Music, Best Marching and
Maneuvering, Best Percussion and Best Drum Major.
The Fort
Hill High School Marching Band was named “Best In Festival.” The “Best In Festival” award is given to the
group competing in both the parade and the field competition with the highest
overall score.
