Director

Joseph Thompson is a 1996 Graduate of Fort Hill High School.  Following Graduation, he received his Associate of Arts in Education from Potomac State College.  Joe then attended Alderson/Broaddus College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and completed his Masters of Education degree at Frostburg State University.

In 2001, Joe and his wife Jen moved to Southern Maryland where Joe began his teaching career with the Calvert County School System.  At the end of his first year in Calvert County, Joe was offered a position with the Allegany County School System, teaching Chorus and General Music at Mount Savage Middle School. Joe spent three years at Mount Savage Middle when in his third year; he was offered the position of Assistant Director of Bands and Percussion Instructor at Fort Hill High School.  The following year the Fort Hill Director position opened and Joe was offered the job.
